We firmly believe that oral health care should be based on gentleness, comprehensiveness and science. We oppose harsh physical cleaning methods, such as using sharp tongue scrapers. When the skin on the tongue's surface is physically damaged, it triggers a physiological defensive response, leading to thickening of the tongue coating (known as keratinization). Repeated physical damage over time causes the accumulation of keratin and dead cells, creating a breeding ground for bacteria, which further thickens the tongue coating and exacerbates oral health issues, forming a vicious cycle. Additionally, we do not recommend using toothpaste containing abrasives with high RDA values, as they can severely wear down enamel, cause gum recession, and lead to persistent tooth sensitivity. This not only fails to improve oral health but may also cause further issues. Similarly, we do not support excessive chemical cleaning, such as the use of strong mouthwashes or irritating toothpastes. This type of strong mouthwash indiscriminately kills both beneficial and harmful bacteria in the mouth, and is more likely to damage the oral mucosa, leading to bad breath and other oral problems. Highly irritating toothpastes (such as those containing triclosan or sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)) can make our teeth sensitive, gums recede, and create an unfavorable oral environment. So-called whitening toothpastes rely on nothing more than physical abrasion or chemical bleaching. Not only do they fail to fundamentally improve the oral environment, but also they may even mask underlying bacterial issues. We are looking for a gentle and comprehensive oral care product, so we set out on a journey of discovery.

Inspired by cutting-edge oral mucosal cleaning research at the University of Utah School of Medicine, and incorporating the research's GIFTS oral cleaning method, we pioneered the world's first gentle and comprehensive oral care set.
